When trying to decide a name for my practice, I chose Sophia because Sophia is the goddess of wisdom. Aristotle said: “Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom”. I believe that the path to meaning in our lives comes from knowledge of ourselves. This path is not always an easy one to follow; sometimes the path isn’t easy to find! Having the support of someone we trust can make the journey so much easier. My vision for Sophia Counseling is that it be a peaceful place where those searching for wisdom will find the support they need to become who they truly are.
